He is unhealthfully overweight, that’s all visceral adipose tissue packed around his organs. If he was fat everywhere and not just the gut, that might actually be better.

This was more of a “living in a glass house” sort of response. And since Clarkson is an extremely privileged (albeit entertaining) bully, it’s hard to feel bad throwing a little snark his way.
